| Flexible Accounts
- MoneyWorks allows you to use an account numbering scheme of your own choosing. You can use variable length account codes up to 7 digits and/or letters. In addition, MoneyWorks Gold provides the unique option of an additional department code of up to 5 digits and/or letters for departmental account breakdowns.
- Accounts can be categorised (grouped) independently of the account code for reporting and enquiry purposes.
Customisable
- MoneyWorks Express and MoneyWorks Gold both offer fully customisable business forms-invoices, statements, mailing labels, job cards, product labels. Not only the layout of these forms can be customised but also the content-using the unique and powerful expression evaluation capabilities you can use almost any data from the database as well as context-specific information on your customised forms.
- MoneyWorks Gold provides a comprehensive report writer, plus a sophisticated cross-tab analysis generator.
- User-defined fields can be included on transaction entry screens to store transaction-specific data of your choosing.
- On screen database lists can be fully configured to show any information from the database. Fields can be added or removed, resized or moved. New in v5: list columns can be calculated, including lookup of data from other files.

- MoneyWorks can be integrated with external databases using Visual Basic or VBA (including Excel and Access). So if you have unusual invoicing or order-entry requirements, you can enter these into FileMaker Pro or Access and transfer them into MoneyWorks with the click of a button.
- You can extract balances and budgets from MoneyWorks directly into Excel, and even take budgets from Excel straight back into MoneyWorks.
- You can even run VB Applications directly from the Command menu within MoneyWorks.
